My Role in McTino:
I confess, I'm pretty lazy. My main role is simply to act as a rhythm player and main bongoist for the band, but I do have
other talents. I often get bored hitting the same plank of wood, so I'll decide to hit something else. It really is a lot
of fun, I'd recommend it to anybody. But, that's about it. As I stated above I rarely ever sing and if you've heard me sing
before (most notably on the impromtu song "The Boy With A Pussy") you understand that it's really for your benefit
that I don't.
My Influences:
Well it may actually come as a surprise to our listeners that I am, to an extent, a form of music elitist. Unfortunately though
this does not show through my playing. It is unbelievably amazing musical virtuosity that I enjoy most. Currently I am going
through a jazz/fusion phase, and there's plenty of virtuosity to be found there. However, I do like, or at least respect most
forms of music except for the three evils of techno, derogatory rap and commercialised pop that is so bad that it needs sex
appeal to sell it. Other than that, it's all good (yes, even Opera).
My Thoughts on McTino:
Well not much to say really, just basically that we suck. Although we do have our shining moments (ie. "Scotty Burns"),
they are few and far between. Maybe now that we're actually writing our songs now we might not suck, but then again, we probably
will. Oh well, it's better than a helluva lot of crap I hear on the radio these days - and it just keeps getting worse. Hey,
we're all allowed to have our own opinion aren't we?
